Welcome to Kumo Izakaya! Whilst the heart of our cuisine is contemporary Japanese we take inspiration from Asian street food in general. Our menu reflects a range of influences from countries such as South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Vietnam. To accompany your food we offer wine, Japanese and local craft beer and a great sake selection. Our menu is mainly comprised of smaller dishes and we encourage you to order a selection of many tastes! An izakaya is not just a restaurant or bar: an izakaya is a place where eating and drinking take equal parts. But it is more than this: it’s a meeting place, somewhere to bond and forget the worries of the day. Izakayas started as local eating places, where people would go after work to have a couple of drinks and stay for an hour or 10. In Japan, izakayas are known for their ‘homeliness’ – everyone knows your name and you are welcome whether you are alone or with friends. Izakayas have a great range of small and large dishes ordered as-you-like-it as the night unfolds. You don’t have to choose between sashimi, deep fried, meat, vegetarian or other copious choices of food with beer, sake or other drinks – just have a bit of everything and share. Izakayas are the perfect blend of bar and food.
Redeeming customers within the venue will be required to produce proof of identification at the time of redeeming the Gift Card. If the redeeming customer is unable to provide identification the venue may elect to not accept the Gift Card as payment until the redeeming customer is able to do so. Gift A Restaurant Gift Cards are non-refundable. Gift A Restaurant Gift Cards are treated as cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Gift A Restaurant Gift Cards expire 36 months after issue. Gift A Restaurant Gift Cards may only be used for purchases at the specifically listed venue/s on the Gift Card and cannot be returned or exchanged for cash. You can redeem up to $1000 in Gift A Restaurant Gift Cards, per table in the venue. Gift A Restaurant Gift Cards may not be re-sold or bartered for cash. Gift A Restaurant and the specified venue reserve the right to change any of the terms contained in these Terms and Conditions at any time where the change is required. By purchasing, redeeming or attempting to redeem a Gift Card, you: accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions; and acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
